Quinny

In 1950, Nicolaas (Nick) Quint founded a trading company Quint B.V for small baby products in The Hague The Netherlands.

Subsequently he began importing renowned European brands. In the 60s, Nick Quint introduced his own label of (baby) care products: Quinny!

Quint bought a leading Dutch manufacturer of wooden playpens and extended the collection with textiles and baby room decorations. The team grew: enter Quint’s sons Peter, Dick en Mark. Now a family business, Quinny began its focus on product development and innovation. In 1989, the first Quinny buggies and strollers hit the streets.

In 1997 the sporty, foldable Jogger was Quinny’s international breakthrough. Better styling and colouring, combined with inflatable tires, put Quinny ahead of its competition. Quinny earned considerable market share in Europe and is now an established lifestyle brand. After joining the Dorel group in 2001, the stroller segment was restructured and Quinny became a leading stroller brand with global recognition and distribution.

Dorel however decided to stay in Holland and outsource the design of the new strollers to Dutch company Van der Veer Designers, where in 2004 the Quinny Buzz and Quinny Zapp were born, and in 2009 the Quinny Senzz. In 2007, Van der Veer Designers also designed the Maxi Cosi Mura for Dorel, which is in fact a Dutch design as well.

4Moms

Headquarters: Pittsburgh, Penn.
Founded: March 2006 (Thorley Industries founded June 2005)
Co-founders: Rob Daley (CEO) and Henry Thorne (CTO)

4moms Overview 4moms (http://www.4moms.com) is a robotics company that makes high-tech baby gear. The company has redefined the $8.9 billion juvenile products industry through its use of advanced robotics technology.

The result is dramatically better baby gear, including the 4moms origami®, the world’s only power-folding stroller; the 4moms mamaRoo® infant seat that replicates the bouncing and swaying motions parents make when soothing their babies; and the 4moms breeze® playard that opens or closes in one simple step.

4moms History : In 2004, friends Henry Thorne, a world-leading roboticist, and Rob Daley, a successful businessman, met over lunch to discuss their individual plans for future business ventures. They both knew there were only two ways to make it as an entrepreneur: create a new market or change an existing one.

After researching industries, specifically elder care and juvenile products, Rob and Henry determined the $8.9 billion juvenile product industry presented the most appealing opportunity. Enter 4moms. Officially established in 2005 under the parent company Thorley Industries, 4moms’ namesake comes from its first focus group of mothers.

The group explored juvenile product pain points and provided valuable insight that led to the creation of the 4moms infant tub. Today, 4moms is a rapidly growing company that is changing the way parents think about baby gear.

How to choose a stroller for a baby?

Every tried shopping for a car? Browsing through the internet and searching for the best value to best functionality? This is close to similar when choosing a stroller for your baby. They do not know how to express their needs, but we are sure they need a secure and great comfy seat to travel around the park, shopping complexes and some other part of your county or country, and you know you would want to look nice strolling your baby around in a stylish and neat strollers.

Below is a list of what you will need to look out if you are searching for a baby stroller.

1. Your toddler's age
Newborns have weak back and can hardly sit up on their own. They will need a stroller that lets them lie on their back for the first few months. Do NOT put newborn or young infant into a traditional stroller, including the umbrella style models. This will put the infants in a risk of positional asphyxia, resulting their head to fall forward and restricting their breathing ability, which are fatal for them. You are NOT suppose to use a stroller seat until they are able to sit up on his own, which is around 6 months old.

2. Comfort , Stability and Security
What do you see in a car with comfort? Bigger tires with shock absorber. Baby strollers too follows the same attributes in comfort level. This is important if you are strolling your toddlers on an unpaved road, tromping through snows, or wheeling through grass pavements. Babies wont feel comfortable with those bumpy rides, and you will need extra effort to stroll through the area.
Besides that, stability is also important as you wouldn't want the stroller to topple if there are some additional weight added to it. A wide wheelbase will be a good point for stability. If the stroller is equipped with an under seat basket, look for basket that sits low, situated just above the wheels of the stroller.
Security of your baby must not be neglect as well. Features such as locks, safety belts, brakes on wheels must not be overlooked. Three-point safety belts and five-point are the most secure for your child. Five-point safety belts are more suitable for jogging stroller, as it involves quick movement.

3. Convenience
You will need to take account of the convenience of strollers that are based mostly on light weight stroller as well as how quick the stroller folds. If you are a city dweller who depends solely on public transportation, this will be a an important point that you will need to take into heavy consideration. Small and light stroller will be easy for you to fit into a car trunk or public transport. Some baby strollers even folds and opens with a single hand effort, which adds a great point to convenience.

4. Style
Choosing your style and color of baby stroller is also crucial if you are the one that emphasize on outlook, although it should be the least you should be worrying about.

5. Extra Functionality
There are also additional functionalities that are built-in or can be bought as separate accessories. Items ranging from built-in cup holders to technology built-in ability will add to your convenience.
